How does a self-service launderette work?
You pick a free machine, load your washing, pay at the central unit and the cycle starts. When it's done, move your washing to a dryer. In under an hour you walk out with a clean, dry load. It's self-service: no booking and no waiting on anyone.
How long does it take to wash and dry?
The wash cycle takes 27 minutes. Drying is paid by time (1,00 € per 5 minutes), so you decide how much you need. All in, in under an hour your washing is clean and dry.
How much does it cost to wash at Lavandería Azul?
The small machine costs 5,00 €, the medium 7,00 € and the large 9,00 €. The 15 kg dryer is 1,00 € per 5 minutes. With the loyalty card every wash is 0,50 € cheaper. Detergent and fabric softener included.
Do I need to bring detergent?
No. The detergent and fabric softener are included in the price and dispensed automatically. And if you'd rather wash without softener, we have a dedicated programme without it.
Can I wash a duvet, a quilt or blankets?
Yes. Our 22 kg machines are made for exactly this: duvets, quilts, blankets and curtains — the bulky items that won't fit in a domestic washing machine.
Is there a programme for delicates?
Yes, we have a programme for delicate items and also a programme without fabric softener, ideal if you have sensitive skin, allergies or you're washing baby clothes.
How do I pay? Do you take card?
You can pay by card (Visa or Mastercard), in cash or with the loyalty card, all from the central payment unit at the site.
What is the loyalty card and how much do I save?
It's our card for regular customers. It costs 3 € and you buy it at the central payment unit at any of our launderettes. It takes 0,50 € off every wash, so it pays for itself from the sixth wash and after that you're always saving.
Do I have to stay while it washes?
No need. The wash takes 27 minutes and the machine shows the time left, so you can nip out for an errand or grab a bite and come back to collect your washing.
